Data sources

Member activity

Ratings, reviews, watch dates, repeat viewings, favorites, watchlists, lists, likes, comments, and social connections are created by CinemaTrove members.

Movie information

The Movie Database supplies movie identifiers, titles, posters, backdrops, release details, genres, credits, runtimes, and descriptions. CinemaTrove may store this information and apply regional title corrections or member genre overrides.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

TMDB audience ratings are not used as CinemaTrove member ratings. See How ratings work.

Movie history imports

CinemaTrove can read supported CSV exports from Letterboxd, IMDb, and Trakt-compatible files. Each guide lists the fields CinemaTrove accepts, the fields it does not import, and how movies are matched.

Streaming information

CinemaTrove stores reviewed streaming offers by movie, provider, country, and offer type. An offer may include a price, video quality, destination, and the date it was checked.

Availability and prices can change. Confirm an offer with the provider before subscribing, renting, or buying. Signed-in members can report incorrect or broken offers.

Provider search links

When no verified offer is available, CinemaTrove may link to search results at Amazon Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Netflix, or Tubi. A search link does not mean the movie is available from that provider.
